Kitchen closes 30 minutes before the café. Last call for pour-overs is 20 minutes before close. Founders Office Hour runs Tuesdays, 10:00 AM — 12:00 PM.

Transit & Parking

By transit: TriMet Bus 2 stops at SE Division & 5th, a two-minute walk. Streetcar A Loop reaches SE Grand & Division in eight minutes from downtown.

By bike: Bike rack for six out front; showers available for members in the back hallway.

By car: Two-hour street parking along SE Division and SE 5th. The city lot behind our building (entrance off SE 5th) is $4 for the day before 6 PM, free after.

Rideshare drop-off is easiest on SE 5th Avenue — Division gets busy between 8 and 9 AM.

Step-free entrance through the south door, off SE 5th Avenue.

ADA-compliant seating: four standard-height tables and one adjustable-height desk reserved daily.

Single-occupancy, gender-neutral restroom on the main floor. All-gender restroom on the lower level.

Founder Office Hour

A weekly, in-person working session hosted by Pillar Café for indie founders and remote operators. Bring one specific problem; leave with two new angles and a real introduction. 1,800+ founders hosted since 2019.

This week's format: six-seat round table, two hours, single-origin pour-over on arrival. No slides, no pitch deck, no recording.

Cost: $18, includes coffee and a pastry. Members attend free with their subscription.

Laptops are welcome — what about phone calls?: Laptops are part of the room. Phone and video calls are not — please step outside or onto the back patio. We keep a small landing zone by the south door with a stool and an outlet for short calls.
Is there an outlet at every seat?: Yes. All 42 indoor seats and all 18 patio seats have a dedicated outlet. You will not have to trade a power strip with the table next to you.
Is there a time limit on tables?: Reserved seats have no time limit during weekday work hours, 7 AM to 6 PM. Walk-ins are welcome; we ask that tables turn over if the café is full. We will give you a quiet heads-up well before any ask.
How fast is the Wi-Fi, really?: Gigabit fiber with a published 480 Mbps minimum uptime SLA. We publish the live speed on the chalkboard monthly. If you ever see it dip below 480, your coffee is on us.
What food do you serve?: A short, rotating menu from neighborhood bakeries: morning pastries from seven AM, a daily toast and grain-bowl lunch from eleven onward, and a small plate menu after three. We don't have a full kitchen, and we don't pretend to.
Where do I park?: Two-hour street parking on Division and SE 5th fills up after nine. The city lot behind our building, entered off SE 5th, is $4 for the day until 6 PM and free after. Bike rack for six out front.
